Stefan Hinz is the Director of the Departament of Urology at the Vivantes Klinikum Am Urban in Berlin. Previously he was Vice Director of the Departament of Urology and also Head of the Robotic Surgery Programme at Charite Universitatsmedizin Berlin. Additionaly he was the Director of the Charite Interdisciplinary Prostate Cancer Centre, which is one of the clinic centres of Charite Universitatsmedizin Berlin. Dr Hinz completed medical training in 2002 at the University Hospital Hamburg-Eppendorf in Hamburg, including the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE Step 1, Step 2CS, and step 2CK)He carried out his internship at the Princess Margaret Cancer Center of Urology at Charite Universitatsmedizin Berlin, where he later became an attending physician and faculty member. At the Vivantes Klinikum Am Urban, dr Hinz's research focuses on treatment in tumor therapy, kidney transplantation, microsurgery, binign prostatic hyperplasia and plastic and reconstructive urology. Dr Hinz is a Fellow of the European Board of Urology and is a member of the Berlin Urological Society (BUG), German Society of Urology (DGU)and European Association of Urology. He is a reviewer for scientific journals including the Journal of Urology, Cancer Letters, International Journal of Cancer, BMC Urology, European Urology, Journal of Andrology, International Journal of Andrology, and Cancer Research.
