Maciej Jabłkowski, MD, Ph.D

Since 1995 a doctor of medical sciences, defended his doctoral dissertation entitled: "Prolonged hepatitis B – assessment of clinical and selected immunological parameters after attempted immunocorrection with levamisole". In 2007, he was awarded the post-doctoral degree in medical sciences. Post-doctoral dissertation entitled: "Clinical and immunologic evaluation of treatment with interferon alpha 2b, preceded by immunocorrection pre-treatment in patients with chronic hepatitis B (HBeAg +)".
In the years 1984, 1986, 1987, 1990, 1991, 1996, 2005, 2009 he completed Hepatology Courses in Royal Free Hospital in London. In the years 1998, 2000, 2006 he participated in Hepatology Courses in King’s College Hospital in London. In 2007 he completed a Hepatology Course in Copenhagen. In the years 2008 and 2010, he completed a course "Infectious Diseases in Adults" in Harvard University in the US.
Since 1978 until now he has worked at the Department of Infectious Diseases of the Medical University of Łódź. Since 1998 he has worked at the Unit of of Infectious and Gastrointestinal Diseases, at the Department of Infectious and Liver Diseases of the Medical University of Łódź, and in the Wł. Biegański Regional Specialist Hospital. Since 2010 he is the Head of the Unit of of Infectious and Gastrointestinal Diseases at the Department of Infectious and Liver Diseases of the Medical University of Łódź.
The Head of the Unit of of Infectious and Gastrointestinal Diseases, at the Department of Infectious and Liver Diseases of the Medical University of Łódź.  Author or co-author of 77 articles in national and foreign journals. Author or co-author of 177 communications from congresses in Poland and abroad. Participant of clinical studies, conducting clinical studies for 16 years in the following areas: Chronic hepatitis B, Chronic hepatitis C, NASH, Thrombocytopenia in liver diseases.
