Michał Jakubczyk, D.Sc.

Assistant Professor at the Division of Decision Analysis and Support , Institute of Econometrics, Warsaw School of Economics (SGH).  Graduated from the Warsaw School of Economics (with the academic degree of MSc and PhD) and the University of Warsaw (Bachelor's degree in mathematics). Scholarship programs at the Catholic University of Leuven (2004, Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium), and the Fulbright Senior Award (2015-2016 at the University of Iowa, Iowa City, USA). Scholarship of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education for young researchers (2011). Research on preference modelling, decision theory and support, with particular focus on decision-making problems with multiple criteria, in conditions of risk and imprecise / fuzzy preferences, with particular reference to the healthcare sector and applications in the assessment of medical technologies.
Co-editor of two books, author of over fifty research publications (Annals of Operations Research, Value in Health, Health Economics, International Journal of Game Theory, Advances in Experimental Medicine & Biology, all of which are included in the Master Journal List) and scientific reports. MBA lecturer at the Canadian Executive MBA, Warsaw Executive MBA, and MBA-SGH. Trainings on statistics and modelling delivered for the public sector institutions (the National Health Fund, the Agency for Health Technology Assessment and Tariff System (AOTMiT), the Ministry of Health, etc.) and pharmaceutical companies. Highly recognised lecturer (TOP 10 of the best SGH lecturers) and supervisor of dissertations (over 80 Bachelor's degree dissertations and over 50 Master's degree dissertations). Experienced in business, co-owner of HealthQuest consulting company offering health technology assessment services.
