Krisztina Biro graduated from Semmelweis Medical University, Budapest, Hungary in 1986. She has been working at the National Institute of Oncology, Hungary since 1987. She is specialized in internal medicine (1994), clinical oncology (1999) and clinical pharmacology (1999). In 1995/1996 she spent one year at the oncological department of Yale University. She defended her dissertation “Detection of ototoxic effect in testicular cancer patients with otoacustic emission” and received a PhD degree in 2004. Her works on this topic was published in several national and international journals and international conferences. Dr. Biro participated in several clinical trials (Phase I-IV) at the Uro- oncology and Clinical Pharmacology department at the National Institute of Oncology. She is active in the field of uro-genital cancers, and palliative care and is teaching oncology at the Semmelweis University. Dr. Biro is a member of several professional societies. She is married and has three children.
