Doctor Tomasz Tafliński was born in 1970 in Warsaw. In 1995 he graduated from the Medical University of Warsaw and started work in the Institute of Psychiatry and Neurology. He started his career in a department specializing in the treatment and rehabilitation of young patients with schizophrenia. During this period he took part in preparing and conducting educational programs for patients and their families as well as organised rehabilitation camps. He obtained specialization in psychiatry in 2003, and in 2010 he defended his doctoral dissertation on the prevalence and clinical image of compulsive disorder in schizophrenia. Since 2001 a member of the Association of Clinical Research Professionals and the International Early Psychosis Association. In the following years doctor Tafliński worked in a clinical ward, where he also participated in the implementation of the psycho-educational programme aimed at patients with chronic anxiety-depressive disorder. He is currently working with chronically ill patients with schizophrenia and bipolar disorder in the framework of the Home Treatment Team.
He participated in numerous clinical trials involving patients with schizophrenia. He is the author or co-author of publications on issues of treatment and rehabilitation of schizophrenia, and participated in numerous scientific conferences and educational workshops for physicians.
