Dr. Nina Tunariu MD Res, FRCR, MRCP, MBBS-MD Consultant Radiology, Imaging in Drug Development Royal Marsden Hospital & Institute of Cancer Research. Dr. Nina Tunariu works as a Consultant Radiologist at Royal Marsden Hospital with her main interest being the development of multiparametric, multimodality whole body imaging in clinical trials with a focus in the metastatic prostate and ovarian cancer. Her daily work includes leading the units imaging meetings and assessing response to therapy, performing research US guided biopsies of soft tissue disease and advanced data analysis of the anatomical and functional imaging employed in the phase I /II/III clinical trials within these units.
Dr. Nina Tunariu qualiﬁed from the University of Medicine “Iuliu Hațieganu” in Romania (1997), completed general medical training at Hammersmith Hospitals, Papworth Hospital and Royal London Hospital and her Clinical Radiology training at Imperial College NHS Trust. In October 2008, Dr. Tunariu joined Royal Marsden Hospital and Institute of Cancer Research to undertake an Oncological Imaging Fellowship; in 2014 she has been awarded an MD Res for the thesis entitled “Standardisation of Data Analysis Methods for Multiparametric MRI in phase I clinical trials” by University of London.
Dr Tunariu’s clinical and research interest is in the integrated application of multimodality functional imaging for tumour response assessment, especially in the context of clinical trials of new anticancer agents.
